In America she got famous as Tillie Anderson, The terrible Swede when winning a lot of bicycle races. She made her own racing clothes and at age 20 she was the best female cyclist in the world.
She won all but seven of the 130 races she raced. She competed in both sprint and endurance races.
In 1902, League of American Wheelman banned women from racing and Tillie stopped competing.
